Multi-select provinces using checkboxes. Use "Select All" or "Clear All" for bulk actions. Poll-level views (Combined, Advance, Day-of) require at least one province selected. When no provinces are selected, Ridings view shows all of Canada. Multiple province selections load data in parallel for faster performance.
Regions appear only when exactly one province is selected. Choose predefined regions (e.g., Toronto, 905, Island of Montreal, Calgary) to filter ridings. Multiple regions can be selected simultaneously. Clearing all regions shows all ridings in the province.
Search or multi-select specific ridings using checkboxes. Type in the search box to filter the list. The count shows selected vs total available ridings. If none are selected, all ridings matching your province/region filters remain visible.

Select the map layer detail: Ridings view shows seat-level results and is available Canada-wide. Poll-level views (Combined, Advance, Day-of) require at least one province selected and show individual polling station results. Tied polls display striped patterns. "Show riding boundaries" appears in poll views. "Enhanced map labels" adds city/town names across all views.

Toggle between Electoral and Demographic modes. Electoral mode shows election results with optional comparison overlays. Demographic mode colors the map by census data (2,631 characteristics) and turns off comparisons. In both modes, clicking a riding shows demographic breakdowns (languages, ethnicities, religions, tenure, commuting, occupations, industries) in the info panel.
Choose map coloring: "Winner" shows winning party with color intensity based on margin (tied polls display striped patterns). Party vote share scales adapt to your filtered geography. Vote Method options analyze advance/day-of/special ballot patterns.
Switch comparison overlays: view 2021 or 2025 winners, party change between elections, CPC gap change, or 2026 projections. Click "Comparison" to activate the overlay on the map.

Choose how to display census values: "Auto" uses the characteristic's default format, "Rate %" shows percentages of the parent population, "Count #" shows raw population numbers. Combined mode uses "Rate %".
Choose color scaling: "Standard" uses linear scale across the full range, "Log" applies logarithmic scaling for data with wide variance.
